Overview:
Storix, Inc, makers of backup and provisioning solutions for Linux/Unix systems, is seeking a “tech savvy” marketing specialist to help research, develop and drive product marketing campaigns.
Job Description:
The marketing specialist will be responsible for defining and executing a successful broad-spectrum marketing program, as well as measuring results and communicating them to management in a clear and professional manner.
Job Responsibilities:
- Defining current brand strategies that cover all aspects of the "marketing mix”
- Setup and maintaining standards for brand identity
- Managing Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Analyzing industry-specific trends regarding competition, current innovations, and pricing
- Lead efforts with the development of sales collateral and other marketing materials
- Draft press releases, blog articles and assist in other technical writing duties as needed
- Proven ability to leverage social networking opportunities (Facebook, Linkedin, Google+, Twitter), SEO and Google AdWords
The successful candidate will be experienced in each of the above responsibilities as well as possessing the following attributes:
- Computer savvy without shying away from technical issues (computer geeks welcome)
- Possesses a natural passion for marketing analysis, branding and promotion
- Possesses a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Exceptional writing skills: capable of drafting press releases and/or technical white-papers
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing (MBA preferred)
Position requires the ability to travel on occasion (approx. 10%)
